Hello, I’m a famous African-American
and jazz and blues player. I was born on May 11,1895 at Woodville,
Mississippi. I was a classical composer who wrote more then 150
compositions. I was the first African- American to conduct a major
American orchesta, the first to have a symphony performed by a leading
orchestra. I was the to have an opera performed a national television.
I was often referred to as the Dean of African-American. Now that you
know all these wonderful thing about me, tell me, who am I?
